TW Rogue's Thief program requires the three files SHIPLOG.CSV, ROBBED.CSV, and BUSTED.CSV. The TWROGUE.ZIP file comes with these three files to get you started. If you don't have them you have a couple options: You can create these files yourself, or you can get the files from TWROGUE.ZIP again. If you create these files yourself you'll have to make sure that each of the three files has the End-Of-File (EOF) character in them. For some reason Thief needs this character in each of the files. The EOF character is ASCII 26 (1A Hex) and some text editors (for example my old Turbo C editor) will always put that character in at the end of a Like to see some more? [Y]=ENTER [N] or [C] for continuous display text file. You could also write a little program that just writes the EOF character to a file and that's all you'll need for the three files so you can run Thief. You will have to screen capture your TW playing session to a file so you will have the 'log' file that Thief asks for. Thief does it's pattern matching for when you robbed, got caught, and other traders porting from your screen capture and puts the sector, date, etc. in those three log files. When you run Thief, it asks: name of log file?? Just type in the name of your screen capture file and then it will process it and report what it finds in those three files. If it doesn't find anything you won't see anything changed in the 3 files when you view them, even though the files may have changed slightly for formatting reasons if you are doing this for the first time. Hope this helps! If you find that you have to get TWROGUE.ZIP again and can't find it locally, you are sure welcome to file-request it from here 1:343/102 or unverified users have just enough access to download it on their first login to the public line (206)631-4949, 2400 baud.
